If you have received an invite code, you can register an account for services on Interlaced Insanity here.
This is primarily a Matrix account, but the same login details are used to authethicate to this website.

Login can only contain characters a-z, 0-9 or "=_-./+".
Minimum length is 4. Contact homeserver administrator for shorter IDs.
Your Matrix ID will look like @login:interlaced-insanity.com
Password should be no less than 8 characters.

The homeserver is ran on a modest VPS. Please utilize the server resources mindfully.

Matrix is a federated protocol, which in practice means every room you join has to be imported in full to the homeserver.
Do not join large rooms (rooms with over a thousand users, eg. Matrix HQ) without the permission of the server administrator. Avoid joining a large number of new rooms by eg. unnecessary surfing.

Media you upload will be indefinitely stored on the server. Avoid using the service for unnecessary file sharing (of eg. zip archives), prefer actual upload services instead.
The maximum upload size is set at 32MB for this homeserver. Media federated from other homeservers is purged after 2 days.
However, don't shy away from sending pictures or other such media, your contributions are welcome!

Please contact the server administrator if you experience performance issues with the homeserver.

Please be aware of the trust you are placing on the homeserver administrator, who has complete control of your account and access to all of your data (with the notable exception of end-to-end encrypted messages). You also need to trust the security of the homeserver, that your data won't be misused by a third party.
Sessions and credentials are stored and managed only by the Matrix homeserver (Synapse). Web services integrate with Synapse for authethication.
